Under Construction

Today, I have decided to move away from the conceptualisation of the condo to the current reality of the state of being Under Construction. The reno is half way complete but it seems endless at this point.

I know all of a sudden, everything will come into focus and, like magic, will be complete. It is sometimes hard to see through the dust and power tools, but it is starting to shape up some.

It ain't easy trying to get around this mess- Once it was removed, it was three bins full!

When we took out the kitchen ceiling, we found tools inside the ceiling boards. They had a 2 inch layer of dust on them.

Too many cooks in the kitchen- Making decisions on removing walls.

Removed the old kitchen to be donated to Habitat for Humanity

But then there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

Remember the Sun room?

12 days ago......

Nearly complete- Needs lighting, flooring and painting.
Raised the floor 8 inches to keep it warm, insulated the walls and drywalled in the entire space. Framed in the windows and removed the ugly ass retro glass doors. Almost done in this space!

I am excited to get the engineered hardwood floors into place. Flooring is one of the final stages of the renovation. Once you see the flooring in, we will be nearly complete!
